How we collect, use and protect your data.

This policy explains what Brownie Helps (“Brownie Helps,” “we,” “us”) collects when you visit browniehelps.com, sign up for the client portal, or use the services we install and run for your business, and what we do with it.

Who we are

Brownie Helps is operated by Derek Taing, doing business as Brownie Helps, based in Huntington Beach, California. Contact details are at the bottom of this page and on our contact page.

What we collect

  • Account & contact info— name, email, company, and (if you sign in with Google) your Google account’s basic profile info, handled for us by Supabase Auth.
  • Intake & profile answers — the business, brand, audience, and channel details you give us during onboarding, used to configure the Brownies we run for you.
  • Connection data — when you connect a channel or platform (for example a social account, an ad account, an ESP, or a CRM like GoHighLevel) through OAuth, we store an access token and the minimum account metadata needed to operate that connection on your behalf. We never see or store your password for those services.
  • Billing data— handled by Stripe. We store which plan and add-ons you’re on and Stripe’s reference IDs; Stripe holds your card details, not us.
  • Usage data— basic product analytics (pages visited, features used) so we can fix what’s broken and prioritize what to build next.

How we use it

  • To deliver the install and retainer work you’ve purchased.
  • To run the Brownies (our internal automations) against your connected accounts, always inside the approval gates described in our Terms.
  • To bill you, via Stripe, for install fees and monthly retainers.
  • To support you — replying to help requests, fixing issues, onboarding your team.
  • To improve the platform, and to send you service updates (not marketing spam) about your account.

Who we share it with

We share data only with the vendors that make the service work, and only what each one needs:

  • Supabase (authentication and database hosting)
  • Stripe (payments and subscription billing)
  • Google (OAuth sign-in, and Workspace tools where you’ve connected them)
  • The specific channel, ad, ESP, or CRM platforms you choose to connect (only the ones you connect, only for your account)
  • Hosting/infrastructure providers (e.g. Vercel) that run the application itself

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with anyone outside the vendors above except when required by law, to enforce our agreements, or with your explicit direction (for example, when a Brownie posts or sends something on a connected channel — that’s you directing us, not us sharing your data with a third party).

Data retention

We keep account, intake, and billing records for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period after (generally up to 7 years) to meet our own accounting and legal obligations. You can request deletion of your account data at any time — see below.

Your choices

  • Access, correct, or export your intake and profile data from the client portal, or by asking us.
  • Disconnect any connected channel at any time from the portal’s Connections page — this revokes our access token immediately.
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing us; we’ll confirm what we can delete immediately versus what we’re required to retain (e.g. billing records).
  • Opt out of non-essential emails at any time via the unsubscribe link.

Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember basic preferences. We use limited analytics cookies to understand product usage. We don’t run third-party ad-retargeting pixels on the marketing site.

Children

Brownie Helps is a business-to-business service. It isn’t directed at children, and we don’t knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

If we make a material change, we’ll update the date below and, for significant changes, email active accounts.
